We know that for a lot of folks, this might actually not be the most wonderful time of the year. In fact, it can be really freakin' stressful, whether it's the pressure of going home for the holidays, dealing with your cousin and his conspiracy theories, the expectation of giving gifts you can't actually afford, or just generally struggling with your mental health during the dark, cold winter months. We get it.
Join the jolliest bunch of assholes this side of the nuthouse in this two part holiday episode as we share tools and strategies to deal with those moments that maybe aren't so festive.

Well listeners, we are back and maybe better than ever?
After some restructuring and re-evaluating, Jordan and Maisy are back in the game and ready to get into it. While our episodes may be less frequent, our hope is that they'll actually be more consistent.
In this episode, we talk about how social media has created a rise in self diagnosing and the impact that can have on our sense of identity and wellbeing. We also share some insight into how to begin to connect with mental health resources, what to look for in a provider, and how to start to take control of your mental health.
Despite going a little off the rails at times, we hope this episode shines a light on how to get the help you need from somewhere other than Tiktok 😬

Welcome to In Session! A new podcast brought to you by three professionals in the mental health field who want to normalize and de-stigmatize mental health while answering some questions you may have about accessing resources in your own community or on campus!
In this series, we aren't going to dive into specific traumatic experiences, but we will be talking about the impact of trauma, how it manifests for different people, and how counseling can be helpful in beginning to unpack personal trauma.
In this episode, we introduce the idea of collective versus individual trauma and how people may cope with a traumatic event. What does it mean to be "triggered" by something? How can we manage when this happens? Maisy, Jordan, & Shelby explore what trauma is, how it impacts the body and mind, and how it’s treated. The trio also discuss mass trauma, PTSD, and protective behaviours.
